The Castle is home to the Maritime and Fishing Musuems which present a history of Santa Pola, with three main themes: Fishing through the ages, Prehistory, the Iberians, the Roman Port and the history of the Castle-Fortress. There are also exhibits showing the typical homes in the 19th century and a recreation of the Mayor's office when the Town Hall of Santa Pola occupied the building in 1850.

The Chocolate Valor Museum, created in 1998, was recognised by the Generalitat Valenciana in 2008 as the Valencian Chocolate Museum.At the time it was a small family factory, and there you can learn about the chocolate-making process and the whole history of Chocolates Valor from its birth to the present day, through the 5 generations of master chocolatiers who have run it.It also has one of the best collections of chocolate industry machinery from different periods, from the times when cocoa was ground on stone to the present day.

Miniature Trains & Railway Museum (Torrellano)

Train circuit at 1/8 scale of the real train in which children and adults can travel. The traction of the trains is steam, thermal or electric. Travel time approximately 12 minutes including exit and entry maneuvers to the terminus station. €1.50 donation. The visit to the railway museum is free, with the possibility of a guided tour.

Archaeological and History Museum of Elche (MAHE)

The musuem occupies the restored buildings of the Palacio de Altamira or Alcazar de la Señoría at the heart of the city. Here you can learn about the rich history of Elche's origin to the present day including many artifacts, audiovisual shows, touch screens and panels to enhance the visitors experience. Artifacts include the Iberian cultural legacy with noteworthy works such as the pillar-stele, sculptures of bulls and Sphinxes and painted ceramics, all of them being some of the best examples of this culture found in Spain. There is an exact replica of the famous Iberian bust of the Dama of Elche with the original being displayd in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid.
Accross the street in the square is the Basílica of Santa Maria, built over the ruins of a mosque and featuring an ornate baroque portal and square towers, which you can visit inside and then climb the bell tower for some spectacular views over Elche.
